How Adventures In Odyssey Changed My Life

Howdy, folks!
Yep-once again, I seem to be having to reconfigure WordPress just like John Avery Whittaker might have had to do thanks to that no count Dr. Regis Blackgaard..that know it all just had to randomly cause my site’s database to crash forcing me to reinstall this site and start over!
Ah well, let’s get on to the main stuff!
So, how exactly, did Adventures in Odyssey change my life?

I suppose, really that like many folks, I got bit with the radio bug years ago. So I started listening to the only Christian station we had around here at the time. I believe the call letters were KGCB, though of course, I’m going completely from that sometimes, not so reliable thing we call memory here, so don’t take my word for it! Ah. Another Whit saying, I think. :) But what ended up happening at some point was that one night at 7:00PM, now that part I do remember for sure, this really interesting bit of music started playing, then Hal’s voice comes on with the “Oh hi there! I was just working on one of my inventions here. My name is John Avery Whittaker, but you can call me whit.” I forget exactly how the rest of that whent, but little did I know it then, but from that point on, I listened to the show as much as most folks! Still do, actually. I suppose really, now that I stop to think about it, Just through the radio, Connie, Whit, Eugene, and everybody else became this extended family.
By the way, Will sounds an aweful lot like me actually, though I’ve never been to Campbell County Community College, or any other place in the town of Odyssey for that matter. As far as tinkering, and many times breaking computers of mine, having to deal with the scarey hard drive reformat, and all that, Eugene Meltsner, and I’d thus think that Whill himself since he’s the voice behind Eugene and so many other cool folks and I have something in common with computers. I’ve dropped things, too, like keys and such. I’m also a pianist, have been one for years. If any Odyssey dream I’ve ever had could become reality, it would be to get to meet Connie, Whit, and of course Eugeen. And, maybe jam out with Eugeen. I’m pretty sure with Eugeen backing me up on guitar or something, we’d come up with some pretty cool stuff.

Odyssey came into my life, probably when I was about 15 or so back in 2003 that being ten years ago now, at a time when I was dealing with my parents divorcing each other. Since then, as I mentioned above, the town of Odyssey, and every character created yes, even the frightening Dr. Regis Blackgaard, became for me in many ways, an extended family, especially over the last five years or so. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you folks, and I suppose we all have to have a Dr. Regis Blackgaard around to cause trouble occasionally. Of course, his brother is awesome, too. Richard Maxwell, comes to mind as another awesome computer geeky sidekick, too. Will we ever see Richard again?? come on, Paul. You’ve gotta bring Richard back. :) Please? LOL.
Another character, that comes to mind and who as it turns out has more in common with me though than anybody else in Odyssey that I can think of is, Jenny Roberts. Why should I happen to bring her up? Because we both share one major thing in common. :) Can you guess what that might be?

All guesses are welcome! I really don’t know how to end this, either. I suppose all I can say to every person involved in Adventures in Odyssey, is simply Thank you. Thank you for bringing me closer to Jesus over the last many years, and helping me to get to know him even better than I ever have before. Due to the small town I live in, attending church regularly has been a real problem. That being said, these dramas have been a nice way to fill in that missing part of my life. If you can figure out what Jenny and I have in common, that will give you another clue about me. Hopefully, though, if I ever walk through the door of Whits End, and maybe, happen to bump over a water bucket in the process, Bernard will understand. God bless, folks!

One last thing!
As a special gift to everybody who reads this, please, feel free to checkout my musical tracks collection. All of these were composed using GarageBand on my MacBook Pro, and a MIDI keyboard since I don’t actually play the guitar, drums, or anything else other than a piano, and, since it would be pretty darnd impossible to get a full blown band in the mobile home I’m currently residing in.
